Casa Santa Ana was built in 1752 and once belonged to General Santa Ana, hence the name. It is located in the historic center two blocks from the Jardin and the Parroquía on the beautiful street of San Francisco. The house itself is an important historic monument that has been lovingly restored to its original condition. While it is close to all the shops restaurants and churches of San Miguel, once inside the large wooden door it resembles a cloister both for the architecture and the silence.
Description
All the rooms on 2 floors open to the central garden with a beautiful tiled fountain and there is a third floor terrace with an incomparable view of San Miguel. On the first floor there is a large country style kitchen with all amenities, a cozy breakfast room, and an elegant large formal dining room. There is also a small parlor on the first floor that opens to the garden. And a guest bathroom.
On the second floor there are four bedrooms each with its own newly restored bathroom and walk-in closets. Three of the bedrooms have working gas log fireplaces.There is also a large library/living room with a fireplace and built-in shelves and cupboards to house the music/TV systems. There is wifi access on all three floors. The outdoor corridors are also furnished with sofa’s and armchairs.
On the terrace there is a lovely room open on two sides to an 360 degree view of San Miguel. There is also a hidden laundry room, as well as, a bathroom.
The house is remarkable for it’s beauty. it’s ideal location, and it secure and private.
HOUSE NOTES: The house is two blocks from the Jardin on a busy street during the day. Two of the bedrooms are above the street, so there will be more noise coming through these rooms.
**LESS THAN A WEEK RENTAL: Minimum 4 nights $650usd per night. Please inquire for less than a week
