Welcome to Casa San Francisco! This eclectic 18th-century colonial home is a step back in time with modern comforts. The house centers around the fountain. The owners were able to create a beautiful mix between modern comforts and old-world architecture. Casa San Francisco is in the heart of Centro - it's a short walk to the Jardin, shops, and restaurants.
Description
The house has four bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms, a large living room, a gracious dining room, an outdoor patio with a fountain, a rooftop terrace with a covered seating area, and a beautiful modern kitchen tucked into a niche in the back of the house; old world meets new. It's a special property.
Casa San Francisco is decorated with art and furnishings from around Mexico and the world. It's a beautiful collaboration of old world meets modern eclectic.
The bedrooms are configured as follows - the house sleeps eight people. There are two bedrooms on the first floor. There is a principal bedroom on the ground floor with a king bed and an ensuite bathroom with double sinks, a shower, and a separate bathtub. The other bedroom on the ground floor has two matrimonial beds ensuite bathroom with a shower.
As you walk up to the second floor, you will find the third bedroom again with two matrimonial beds and an ensuite bathroom with a shower. This bedroom has an A/C split unit. The final fourth bedroom is on the roof terrace level. This bedroom has a king-size bed, seating area, coffee station, and ensuite bathroom with a shower. There is an A/C split unit in this bedroom.
Each bedroom opens to a terrace.
There are four gas fireplaces in the house.
On the second floor, you will find the rooftop terrace with a covered sofa seating area and an outdoor dining table. The terrace boasts city views of the churches of San Miguel. Great place to see fireworks on special holidays and to sip sunset cocktails while soaking in the beauty of San Miguel.
The kitchen was upgraded in 2020 with new appliances that include an eating and cooking island - a great place to cook with Elizabeth or get inspired to make your own cooking magic.
There is a maid and a cook. If you want to have cooking classes with Elizabeth - let us know, and we will arrange it with her. Ask us for the fee - you pay her directly! She is amazing! Their schedule is Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 2:30 pm and Saturday 8:30 am - 11:30 am. If you want them to stay longer, we can arrange that, and the client will pay for their overtime.
